Trion High School’s yearbook program has earned national recognition from Jostens for producing an inclusive, engaging and well-managed publication.

Jostens named Trion High School a 2026 National Yearbook Program of Excellence recipient at the Gold Level. The award recognizes yearbooks that represent a broad cross-section of the student body while encouraging students to develop skills in communication, collaboration, journalism, photography, writing, design and technology.

The award-winning program is led by members of the Trion High School yearbook staff under the direction of yearbook adviser Megan Mills.

According to Jostens, Trion High School met established standards in three major areas: creating an inclusive yearbook, generating student and school engagement, and successfully managing the yearbook production process.

“Jostens is proud to recognize those individuals who have created an exceptional yearbook for their school and community,” said Tammy Whitaker, vice president and chief operating officer of the Jostens Yearbook Division.

Whitaker said yearbooks play an important role in preserving and telling the story of a school year while helping students build valuable academic, creative and leadership skills.

Trion High School serves approximately 400 students in grades nine through 12 and offers Advanced Placement courses, career and technical education programs, dual enrollment opportunities, athletics and other extracurricular activities.

Jostens presents its National Yearbook Program of Excellence awards twice each year based on when completed yearbooks arrive at participating schools.
