
The Trion Bulldogs return to action tonight following an open week as they begin region play on the road against the Greenville Patriots.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM at Greenville High School.
Coach Sean Patrick’s Bulldogs enter tonight’s game with a 5-1 record and a four-game winning streak. Trion has not played since September 25, when the Bulldogs traveled to Northview and came away with a 48-21 victory.
Trion’s only loss of the season came against Model on August 28.
Since then, the Bulldogs have put together four consecutive victories, defeating Ridgeland 38-24, Dade County 42-35, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe 49-0 and Northview 48-21.
The Bulldogs have scored 177 points during their four-game winning streak, averaging more than 44 points per game.
Tonight’s game marks the beginning of an important stretch of Region 7-A competition for Trion.
Greenville enters the game with a 1-4 record.
Trion has won each of the last two meetings between the schools. The Bulldogs defeated Greenville 26-20 last season after winning 43-12 in 2024.
After tonight, Trion travels to Bowdon next Friday, October 16, before returning home to face Manchester on October 23.
Chattooga has an open date tonight. The Indians return to action next Friday, October 16, when they host Dade County at the Little Big Horn.
With Chattooga off this week, Trion will be the featured WZQZ football broadcast tonight.
Paul Cavin will have the play-by-play for the Bulldogs, with Jeremy Burke providing analysis and Sam Kholer behind the camera.
