A Summerville woman contacted the Summerville Police Department after reporting repeated unwanted telephone calls from a family member following a disagreement over a last will and testament.

According to the incident report, Teresa Johnson, 75, of Bittings Avenue, told police she had been receiving continuous unwanted calls from a family member. Johnson said the calls followed an earlier conversation concerning her last will and testament. 20260928150435613

Johnson told police that the earlier conversation ended with the family member allegedly threatening to have her declared legally incompetent.

According to the report, Johnson said she wanted all communication with the family member to stop. The officer attempted to help Johnson block the telephone number on her landline but was unable to complete the process.

Johnson also requested additional patrols around her residence and asked that the family member and that person’s children be served with a criminal trespass notice for the property.

Police attempted to contact the family member by telephone but were unsuccessful. Johnson was advised that extra patrols would be conducted in the area and that further attempts would be made to make contact.

The incident was documented as harassing phone calls. No arrest was reported.
