State Rep. Eddie Lumsden gives the third week legislative session update. The House Appropriations Committee has passed the Amended Fiscal Year 2021 budget. This week saw the House Bill 80 passed. HB80 restores critical funding to areas such as K-12 Education and Higher Education. It also includes funding for the Department of Public Health to hire 3 essential leaders to fight COVID-19 and to update the outdated epidemiologic surveillance system.
