Central Ave Baptist Church in Trion will be giving away food thru There’s Hope for the Hungry on Thursday August 11th. Anyone can come by between the hours of 10:00 am and 1:00 pm to receive a box. No ID is required but you must be come in person to receive a box.
Mrs. Lena Winters Ingle, age 84 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 at a Rome area hospital.
Mrs. Ingle was born in Summerville, Georgia on April 1, 1938, daughter of the late Clarence Winters and Annie Bell Fincher Winters. She was a member of the Four Mile Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and was retired from Mohawk Industries in Lyerly. Mrs. Ingle loved to garden, cook for her family and enjoyed Gospel Music. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ingle was preceded in death by her husband, William David “Bill” Ingle; daughter, Janet Ingle Petitt; granddaughter, Holly Elizabeth Petitt; grandson, Daniel Tyler Reynolds; sister, Ruth Ellison; brothers, James Winters and Grady Winters; and a special friend, Bobby Hawkins.
Mrs. Ingle is survived by daughters, Joyce (Jeff) Warren and Zeta (Ken) Reynolds; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Oliver Brown; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Jennie Winters; granddaughter, Leanna (Omar) Lopez; great granddaughter, Ellie Lopez; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Ingle will be held Friday, August 12, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will include Ricky Ellison, Stacy Brown, Omar Lopez, Matt Ellison, Randy Murdock and Don Murdock. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Adult Sunday School Class of Four Mile Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ingle will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.
