A busy week of athletics is ahead for Chattooga High School, with softball, volleyball and football all on the schedule from Monday, August 10 through Saturday, August 15.

The week begins Monday when the Chattooga softball team travels to Mt. Zion for a 5:30 p.m. game.

On Tuesday, volleyball travels to Gordon Central for matches against Gordon Central and Woodland, beginning at 5 p.m. Chattooga Middle School football will also be in action Tuesday, hosting LaFayette in a scrimmage at 5 p.m.

The softball team returns home Wednesday to face Southeast Whitfield at 5:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Chattooga volleyball hosts Darlington and Rome for a pair of matches scheduled for 5 and 7 p.m.

Football takes center stage Friday night when the Chattooga Indians host Trion in a preseason scrimmage at 7:30 p.m. The matchup will give both teams an opportunity to get game-speed work ahead of the regular season.

The athletic week concludes Saturday when Chattooga softball travels to Gilmer County for games against Gilmer County and Lumpkin County, scheduled for 1 and 3 p.m.
