Chattooga High School To Host Kiddie Football Camp Next Week

 

Young football fans will have an opportunity to learn from the Chattooga High School Indians coaching staff and players during the annual Chattooga High School Kiddie Football Camp, which begins next week.

The camp will be held Monday through Wednesday, July 6th, 7th, and 8th, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. each evening at the Chattooga High School football field. Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 6.

The camp is open to boys and girls ages 5 through 11, and organizers say all skill levels are welcome. Participants will receive instruction in football fundamentals, offensive and defensive techniques, speed and agility drills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and will also take part in fun games and competitions.

Campers should wear athletic clothing and bring cleats or tennis shoes along with a water bottle.

The annual camp provides a fun opportunity for young athletes to develop their skills while spending time with the Chattooga High School football program and learning what it means to be a Future Indian.

Chattooga High School Football Program Seeking Business Ads and Player Dedications

Local businesses, families, and supporters of Chattooga High School Football have an opportunity to be part of the 2026 football program while helping support the Indians during the upcoming season.

Businesses can purchase advertising space in the full-color football program, with options including a full-page ad for $125, a half-page ad for $75, a quarter-page ad for $40, or a business card-sized ad for $25. Businesses may submit a ready-made advertisement or provide text and photos for the Computer Science Club to design. A $10 design fee applies for ads requiring layout assistance. The deadline for business advertisements is Friday, July 17.

Families and friends can also recognize student-athletes by purchasing a dedication in the football program. Dedications are available at the same pricing levels—full page, half page, quarter page, and business card size—and may include photos and personalized messages. The deadline for student-athlete dedications is Saturday, July 11.

Football Parent Meetings Scheduled This Week For Chattooga And Trion Programs

Parents of student-athletes in both the Chattooga and Trion football programs have important meetings coming up this week as schools prepare for the upcoming season.

At Chattooga High School, an important football parent meeting will take place this evening, Wednesday, April 15, at 6 p.m. in the CHS cafeteria. School officials say at least one parent or guardian is required to attend. Topics expected to be discussed include spring, summer, and fall schedules, free physicals, player expectations, fundraisers, and other program information.

Meanwhile, Trion Football will hold its parent meeting for grades 6 through 12 on Sunday, April 19, at 4 p.m. in the Trion High School gym. Organizers say the meeting is for both middle school and high school football parents, and important information and expectations for the upcoming year will be shared.

Both schools are encouraging parents to make plans to attend so families can stay informed and prepared ahead of the new football season.

Chattooga Indians Football to Honor 2025 Team at Banquet on Jan. 21

The Chattooga Indians football banquet is set for Wednesday, January 21 at 6:00 PM in the Chattooga High School cafeteria. Dinner will be served, with lasagna, salad, and drinks provided.

Parents and visitors are asked to bring dinner rolls/bread and desserts to help complete the meal.

The program is a chance for the community to come together and recognize and celebrate the 2025 team one final time.
