Questions About Water Quality In Chattooga County

WZQZ has received many questions about water quality safety. At this time, the only known issues with water systems in the county is with the City of Summerville water system which also is currently serving the town of Menlo. There is a boil water advisory currently in place for customers on the City of Summerville water system and the Town of Menlo water system.

There are several other water systems operating in the county. Lyerly, Trion, Chattooga County Water, and Fort Payne Water (serving the Cloudland area) currently do not have any known issues with their water systems and the water is safe to drink and use.

If you do not know which water system you are on, look at your water bill. The system you receive your water bill from is who supplies your water.
