The Chattooga High School Booster Club is hosting Cow Patty Bingo again this year. What’s Cow Patty Bingo? It is when a cow will be let loose in a contained area with a clearly marked grid at the Chattooga County Fairgrounds at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29th.
A former Floyd County Deputy was arrested by the Floyd County Police Department last Thursday after he allegedly was cursing and being unruly at a baseball game. Rodney Lynn Clemones was banned from the baseball park and then told to leave. Moments later, Clemones returned after being told to not come back.
In the latest round of numbers from the Georgia Department of Public Health released this past week, there were 95 new COVID-19 deaths reported statewide. Summerville Police were called to investigate a case of stolen medication on Marvin Street recently. According to a report released this week, police spoke with Rose Ingle who said that her medication, along with a $10 bill were stolen from a safe in her bedroom. Police say that there was no forced entry into the complainant’s apartment, but that the safe showed signs of being pried open by someone. The complainant advised police of one other person who had a key to her apartment. The incident was turned over to an investigator with the Summerville Police Department.
