A Trion man was arrested in Walker County on Wednesday of this week on drug charges. According to arrest records from the Walker County Jail, Austin Reed Bledsoe of a Simmons Street, Trion address was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license and possession of methamphetamine. Bledsoe was booked into the Walker County Jail.
Once again, Chattooga County residents, along with those in the neighboring counties of Floyd, Walker, Gordon, Dade and Cherokee and DeKalb County, Alabama, will be able to enter items for the chance at a blue ribbon during the Chattooga County Agricultural Fair which will be held August 25-28 at the Chattooga County Agricultural Center.
A Chattooga County deputy responded to a call about an accident at Fellowship Baptist Church on Dickeyville Road in Trion last Sunday. According to a report released late last week, the deputy spoke with a couple who said that they had accidentally hit the church’s sign with their 1999 Nissan Pathfinder. The driver of the vehicle told the deputy that her brakes had went out causing her to not stop. The driver was issued two citations because the vehicle’s tag was suspended and there was no insurance on the vehicle.
