Summerville Man Arrested

Summerville Police say that a man was arrested on Montgomery Street on Sunday when he was found in the inebriated in the roadway.  When police arrived on the scene, they found fifty-eight-year-old Byron Ashmore in the road.  Police say that Ashmore was intoxicated and was putting himself in danger by being  in the roadway and causing a disturbance.  Ashmore was arrested and taken to the Chattooga County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct.

Rock Spring Assisted Living Facility Had Violations

Majestic Manor in Rock Spring, Georgia was shut down last week by state officials after allegations that residents at the assisted living facility were being drugged and sedated.  Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson cooperated with state officials and his department helped to transport some fifteen residents out of the facility.  But the allegations are the first time that the facility has come under scrutiny.
