Trion High School students were among the high school students who had a chance to explore various industrial career pathways and educational opportunities during Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s (GNTC) Industrial Career Day on Friday, Oct. 29, at the Floyd County Campus in Rome.

A Chattooga County couple who were wanted by police in Indiana, were arrested this week by the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.

Mrs. Lillian F. Daniel, 78, of Trion, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021. She was born in Floyd County, Georgia on February 25, 1943, daughter of the late Jessie Lee, Sr. and Leona Webb Shuman. Mrs. Daniel worked in the Bleaching Department of Riegel Textile. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Earle Rainwater Funeral Home.
