Mrs. Doris Marie Haney Agnew, age 69, of Trion, GA, died Friday, October 15, 2021, at her residence.
Mr. William Frank “Bill” Crowe, age 77, of Gaylesville, AL, died Friday, October 15, 2021, at his residence.
Mr. Joshua Paul “Big Josh” Jones, age 34, of Summerville, GA died Friday, October 15, 2021, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Starting next weekend, the Friends of Sloppy Floyd State Park will be offering Halloween Hayrides at the park from noon until 5 PM. October 23rd and 24th and October 30th, along with Halloween Day, the rides will take people through the woods where they can look for haunting characters that are lurking. The hayride is $5 for adults and $3 for kids age 5-12. Children 4 and under are free. There is also a $5 parking fee at Sloppy Floyd State Park. All of the money raised from the hayrides will go to improving our local state park. In the event of rain, the rides will be canceled.
