The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says a person from Georgia has died from a rare disease usually found in South Asia: Melioidosis.
Today, Wednesday, August 11th, is the first day of the school year in the Walker County and Chickamauga City School Systems. Many Walker County Schools will have a new start this year.
