Floyd County police have charged a thirty-six-year-old man with theft by taking in connection with an incident where the suspect stole $35,000 worth of lottery tickets from his employer.
A twenty-four-year-old Walnut Grove resident has been indicted in connection with the death of her toddler daughter, in June of last year.

Summerville,Georgia resident Earl Parris Jr. filed a Clean Water Act and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act citizen suit and class action complaint against 3M Company, Mount Vernon Mills, and the Town of Trion in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia Tuesday of last week.
2020 was a record high year for visitation at Little River Canyon National Preserve. Little River Canyon recorded 802,375 visitors for the year. By comparison, 2019 brought 649,986 visitors to the park.
