Free Groceries and Clothing Available Thursday in Trion

Residents in need of assistance will have an opportunity to receive free groceries this week when There’s Hope for the Hungry visits Trion.

The food distribution event will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Central Avenue Baptist Church, located at 14074 Highway 27 in Trion, behind Dixie Subs.

Organizers say free groceries will be available to those who attend. No identification is required; however, individuals must be present to receive food.

In addition to the food giveaway, a free Clothes Closet will be open from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., providing clothing items for those in need.

Community members are encouraged to take advantage of the free services and share the information with friends, family members, and neighbors who may benefit.

 

Free Community Meal Happening Today at Summerville First Baptist Church

All are residents are invited to enjoy a free hot meal today during the Grateful Saturday Blessings event at Summerville First Baptist Church.

The meal will be served from 11 AM until 1 PM at the church located at 125 Georgia Avenue in Summerville.

Today’s menu includes spaghetti, corn and garlic bread, along with desserts.

The meal is available to anyone in the community.

Organizers say Grateful Saturday Blessings will pause for the summer and resume in August 2026.

Free Groceries And Clothes Closet Available Thursday In Trion

There’s Hope for the Hungry will be at Central Avenue Baptist Church in Trion today, Thursday, May 14, 2026, to give away free groceries.

The food distribution will take place from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. No ID is required, but recipients must be present to receive food.

The free Clothes Closet will also be available Thursday from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM.

“There’s Hope for the Hungry” Happening Today in Summerville

 

“There’s Hope for the Hungry” is scheduled for today, February 18th, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at South Summerville Baptist Church, located at 440 Highway 48 in Summerville. Organizers say no identification is required to receive assistance. The event is part of an ongoing effort to provide food support and encouragement to individuals and families facing food insecurity in Chattooga County.
