Chattooga Young Farmer Director Lauren Jarrett says that there are still a few spots open for the Young Farmer’s Holiday Wreath Class that will be held on Tuesday, December 6th at 6 PM at the Chattooga County Ag Center. The Peppermint Project is a new Holiday event at James H. Sloppy Floyd State Park featuring the story “The Woodland Elves of the Peppermint Cave” written by Nell Farrar, a member of the Friends of Sloppy Floyd.

The Chattooga County Library in Summerville will be having a movie night on Friday, November 18th and will be showing the movie “Polar Express”. Children can come in their pajamas and bring a blanket and pillow to watch the movie. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served before the movie. The library is located at 360 Farrar Drive in Summerville.

Blackberry Winter Bluegrass Band and Philip Wells and The Just One Band will be performing on stage. Concessions will be available for purchase. Everyone is invited to attend.

There’s Hope For The Hungry will be at South Summerville Baptist Church on Wednesday November 16th from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. to distribute free food.

The Trion Band Boosters are still selling tickets for their “Fill Your Freezer Fundraiser”. The drawing for the fundraiser will be next Thursday the 17th. 2 winners will be drawn and each will receive one half of a cow processed which has an estimated value of $2,000 for each winner. They will be selling tickets at the game tonight and will sell until Wednesday the 16th or until all tickets are sold.
