The Chattooga Songfarmers will be having a gathering this Saturday at the Fairway Recreation Center located 81 Senior Drive in Summerville. The event will be held from 1 to 4 pm. In addition to all the great music, Reita’s fried pies, homemade ice cream, jellies and jam, soft drinks, and Brunswick Stew and chili will be available! All musicians are welcomed and audience participation is encouraged!
Local farmers and agricultural producers who were adversely affected by the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic are eligible to apply for a local farm grant, and farmers are urged to apply as the deadline is coming up at the end of March.

There’s Hope For The Hungry will be distributing food at the South Summerville Baptist Church this Wednesday February 15th from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
A meeting for parents of middle school students interested in trying out for cheer leading will be held at the Leroy Massey Elementary School cafeteria on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 6 PM. Tryouts for middle school cheer leading will be held Monday, March 20 – Friday, March 24 from 4:30 – 6:30 PM. Students interested in cheer leading must have a current physical, 3 teacher recommendations and a copy of their insurance card. Spring sports registration is going on through February 18th for local Recreation Departments. County residents pay a $25 registration fee at either the Summerville or Trion Recreation Departments.
