Chattooga County’s Young Farmers will hold their February meeting next week on Thursday, February 27th at 7 PM at the Chattooga County Agricultural Center. The featured speaker for the event will be Cindy Rivers from the Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce. The event is sponsored by Pine Ridge Outdoor Supply in Lyerly. The meal will consist of steak, potatoes, bread, salad and dessert for $7 per person. If you plan to attend, please call Lauren Jarrett at 706-252-4266. The quarterly meeting of the Chattooga County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) will be at the Chattooga County Civic Center on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. All current members and elected officials are encouraged to attend. Guest speaker will be Dave Nadler, National Weather Service, about severe weather planning.
A free cooking demo will be held at the Chattooga County Library coming up on Thursday, February 27th.

The Trion Elementary School “Daddy-Daughter Dance” will be held coming up on Friday, February 28th from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM in the cafeteria. Tickets are $10 per couple and $5 for additional tickets. There are photo packages available for $15. The Daddy Daughter Dance is for Trion Elementary students in Pre-K through fifth grade.
