A Floyd County man is facing child molestation and statutory rape charges after DNA evidence proved that he fathered the child of teenager.
The 2023 City of Summerville Christmas in the Park will be held this evening at Dowdy Park in Summerville. In addition to visits with Santa Claus for the kids, there will also be a girls and a boys bicycle given away. Also, adults can register for a free Christmas ham. Howard Finster’s Paradise Garden will host two Children’s Art Workshops on Tuesday, December 19th, and Wednesday, December 20th from 10 am – 12/noon in the Art & Learning Center (84 Knox St. Summerville, GA 30747). The Workshop on Tuesday, December 19th will be designed for 1st – 3rd graders, and the Workshop on Wednesday, December 20th will be geared towards 4th – 6th graders.
