The Chiaha Harvest Fair will take place at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds in Rome today and tomorrow from 10 am to 5 pm both days.

We are entering week 10 of the 2023 high school football season and both of our local teams will be in action tonight. The Chattooga Indians will be playing their final game of the season tonight at they enter the game tonight against Coosa 1-8 (0-5). The game with Coosa tonight will be played at the Little Big Horn. Coosa is 3-5 on the season and 0-4 in region play. Both Coosa and Chattooga have been eliminated from postseason play. Chattooga has a bye week next week making this Friday’s game against Coosa the final game of the season.
The Trion Bulldogs are in first place in Region 7-A and look to to keep their region championship hopes alive on the road at Armuchee tonight. The Armuchee Indians have a lot to play for as well as they will try to secure a playoff spot. Armuchee is 4-4 (2-2) so far on the season. If the Bulldogs can secure a win tonight, it would set up a region championship game next week at home against Darlington.
Jeremy Burke will call the action tonight from Armuchee and Paul Cavin will call the game for Chattooga. The pregame show will begin around 7pm and kickoff will follow at 7:30pm.
The Trion Recreation Department will be hosting their first Movie Night coming up on Monday, October 30th. They will be showing “Hocus Pocus” and admission is free with plenty of concessions available. The movie will start at 6:30 PM.

DGD Outdoors is a collection of UGA Football players who enjoy the outdoors–hunting, fishing, and the conservation of wildlife.
