Mrs. Glenda Lynne Weaver, age 62, of Trion, GA, passed away Wednesday October 26, 2016, at her residence.  Mrs. Weaver was born May 21, 1954, in Ft. Payne, AL, the daughter of the late Thomas Myrick and Eva Mae Henderson.  She attended  the Pennville Baptist Church, she loved country life and her animals, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Audrey McDonald, sisters-in-law, Joy Henderson, Diane Padgett, brother-in-law, Derral Fortner.
Survivors include her husband, James R. Weaver, children, Jamie Weaver, Ashley and Joe Johnson, brother, Billy Henderson, sisters, Nadine Fortner, Linda Kay and Waymon Fincher, grandchildren, Bailey , Kelsey, Lyndo Weaver, Travis and Riley Johnson.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday October 28, 2016, from the Mason Funeral HomeChapel with Rev. David Thompson officiating with interment in the Greenhills Memory Garden. Active pallbearers, Frank Lay, Thad “Bubbi” Teems, Joe Johnson, Randell Stancil, Tony Blalock, Roger Williams.  Honorary pallbearers, Bailey Weaver, Lyndo Weaver, Kelsey Weaver, Travis Johnson, Riley Johnson.

Mr. Richard Echols III, Obit. (ER)

MR. RICHARD ECHOLS III, age 65, of Perennial Springs Road-Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at his residence following a sudden attack.  Born on July 2, 1951 He was a son of the late Charles R. Echols, Jr. and Ella Edwards Echols.  Mr. Echols attended the Perennial Springs Baptist Church and was retired hyster driver for Mohawk Industries.

        Surviving are His wife, Gail Booker Echols; son, Bryan Echols both of Summerville; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Mr. Richie “Shaggy ” Bryant Obit (ER)

MR. RICHIE “SHAGGY” BRYANT, age 62, of Ellenburg Subdivison, Summerville, Georgia passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016, at his residence following an extended illness.  Born in LaFayette, Georgia He was a son of the late Jean Willis Bryant Giles.  Mr. Bryant was retired from the wash line of Mohawk Industries and was preceded in death by an aunt the late Doris Harding.
            Surviving is His brother, James A. Giles of Summerville.
            A Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 29th, at 1:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Mr.Jimmy Allison “Pop” Shropshire Obit (C)

Mr. Jimmy Allison “Pop” Shropshire, age 78 of Summerville, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Floyd Medical Center.

Mr. Shropshire was born in Summerville, Georgia on October 6, 1937, son of the late Lester Shropshire and Lelia Allison Shropshire. He was a Master Plumber, carpenter and Jack of all trades, but was working with Carver and Carver Plumbing at the time of his death. Mr. Shropshire loved to fish, and hunt for bargains at Trade Day and yard sales. He was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Shropshire was preceded in death by a son, Clete Shropshire; grandson, Corey Gene Shropshire; sister, Katherine Ruth Argo and a brother, Frank Wesley Shropshire.

Mr. Shropshire is survived by his wife, Lucy “Maw” Shropshire; sons and daughter-in-law, Victor Shropshire, Neil and Hope Shropshire, David Wooten Shropshire, and Tory Shropshire; daughters, Angela Wooten Shropshire and Holly Cothran; brother and sister-in-law, William Lester “Bill” and Pat Shropshire; sister and brother-in-law, Carol Ann and Jimmy Hosmer; 16 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren with 2 on the way; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Mr. Shropshire’s wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held 11:30 A.M. Saturday, October 29, 2016 in the Pettit Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home.

Mr. Tony Raymond Starkey, age 57, of Trion, GA, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016, in Panama City Beach, FL.
Mr. Starkey was born February 23, 1959, in Trion, GA, a son of Roy Junior Starkey and the late Darlis Ann Carol Starkey Peace.  He was a member of the Dry Valley Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, worked as a Lieutenant with the Georgia Department of Corrections.  In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Tonya Mae Starkey; and brother, Roy Lee Starkey.
Mr. Starkey is survived by his loving wife, Connie Mae Barrett Starkey; sons, Tony Dewayne Starkey, J. J. Starkey (Lauren Kellett); father and step-mother, Roy and Sylvia Starkey; brother, Mike (Linda) Starkey; sister, Sandra Starkey Weaver; step-sisters, Beverly Ford, Tammy (Butch) Cordle; grandchildren, Jeremie Wayne Agee, Kamdyn, Happi, Daylin, and Abigayl.

Mr. Billy Ray Reed, age 66 of Trion, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Reed was born in Ft. Payne, Alabama on March 18, 1950, son of the late William Reed and Clara Sartin Reed. He loved to read and read his bible every morning. He was retired from the Frame Room of Mount Vernon Mills, and was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth Timmons, Floyd Reed, Paul Reed and Robert Reed.

Mr. Reed is survived by his daughters, Debra (Chad) Shepherd, Tammy Brown, Sandra Reed, and Rita Reed; brother, Dee Reed; sisters, Sue (Gerald) Pinion, Pauline Fannin, Faye Brewer, Jean Brewer and Nina Keith; former wife, best friend and caregiver, Joann Reed;grandchildren, Kyle Blackmon, Tessa Taylor, Danielle Brown, Tremayne Shepherd, Tacobyus Shepherd, Taiquan Shepherd, Tracy Buttrum, Jerry Buttrum, Cody Buttrum and Brenda Buttrum; great grandchildren, Tinleigh Taylor, Starla Buttrum, Tamber Buttrum, Elijah Buttrum and Zoe Buttrum; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Payne, AL,,,,He served his country in the United States Army and was employed by Georgia Power Company for 37 years..He loved his family and friends and enjoyed traveling and music …everyone who knew him loved his wonderful sense of humor…He was preceded in death by his parents Hoyt and Haynie Cannon..

Ricky is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sue Cannon, his son and daughter in law Jeff and Jamie Cannon, Rock Spring Ga., Daughter Emily Cannon of Ashville, N.C..
