Mrs. Grace Gillespie Simmons, age 99, of Trion, GA, passed away Wednesday March 4, 2015, in Gaffney, S.C.
Mrs. Simmons was born January 22, 1916, in Fountain, S.C., the daughter of the late William Robert and Lula Mae Stallings Gillespie. She was a home maker and a member of the Trion 1st Baptist Church. Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Simmons
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, David and Roslyn Simmons, Gaffney, S.C., grandson and wife, Adam and Kimberly Simmons, Charlotte, N.C.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by the Mason Funeral Home.

Mr. Bobby Jack Hite, age 81, of Marietta, Georgia formerly of Rome
and Summerville, Georgia passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 at the
WellStar Kennestone Hospital.
Mr. Hite was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 30, 1934, son of the
late Arthur Glenn Hite and Ada Lee Williams Harper. He was a member
of the Four Mile Baptist Church in Summerville, Georgia and prior to
retirement was the owner of Hite Tile, a Tile Contracting company
, that installed ceramic tile and marble throughout the Cobb County
and Metro Atlanta Area. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hite was
preceded in death by a step-father, Paul Harper; a son, Wayne
Lynn Hite; a sister, Polly Oglesby and brothers, William Hite and
Dick Hite.
Mr. Hite is survived by his wife, Margaret Beck Hite of Marietta;
sons and daughter-in-law, Steve and Pam Hite of Grayson, GA and
Phillip Hite of Dalton; daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and
Wayne Teal of Morrow, GA and Sandra and Mike Thomas of
McDonough; sisters and brother-in-law, Katie Forsythe and Louise
and John Harms; grandchildren, Chris Hite, Jason Hite, Alicia
Mitchum, Selyna Kidd, Elizabeth Hampton, Jennifer Hite, Xander Hite,
Emily Hite, James Thomas, Zachary Thomas, Hope Hite, Jamey
Coffman and Dondee Hite; several great grandchildren and a
number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Hite will be held Wednesday, March 4,
2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the Four Mile Baptist Church, Summerville,
GA with Rev. Doyle Kelley officiating. Interment will follow on Saturday,
March 7, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the Fairview Memorial Gardens in
Stockbridge, Georgia.
Pallbearers will be Xander Hite, James Thomas, Chris Hite, Jason Hite,
Treyton Coffman, Jamey Coffman, and Zachary Thomas.
Mr. Hite will be in state at the Four Mile Baptist Church where the family
will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.

Mr. William Donald "Foots" Bishop, age 73, of Summerville, GA, died Monday, March 2, 2015 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Bishop was born March 18, 1941, in Centre, AL, son of the late Hubert and Thelma Bishop. He was a member of the Faith Temple and worked as a carpenter. Mr. Bishop enjoyed fishing, attending Gospel singings, and browsing trade days. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Donnie Bishop; and brothers, Reuben Bishop, Ed Bishop, and Wallace Bishop.
Mr. Bishop is survived by his wife, Shirley Bishop; a son, Larry Bishop; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Bishop and Paul Bell; grandchildren, Krysta Blankenship and Daniel Bishop; great-grandchildren, Brody Craig and Ryan Rosser; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Bishop will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 5, 2015, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Oscar Stapp and Rev. John Mann officiating. Interment will follow in the Lyerly Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Joe Bishop, Chris Davis, Eddy Bishop, George Padgett, Randy Bishop, Kenneth Padgett, and Sammy Padgett. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Purdy, Fuzz Anderson, Raymond Ware, Harold Ragland, Donnie Taylor, Jim Reece, Bill Ramsey, and the Liar's Club at Jim's Restaurant.

BRENDA JOYCE COCHRAN WORSHAM, 69, widow of Bobby Ray Worsham, died Thursday, February 26, 2015 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA.
A native of Trion, GA, Brenda was a daughter of the late Frank and Ruth Stewart Cochran. She grew up in Trion and lived in Cross Lanes, WV prior to moving to Aiken in 2001. Brenda was a court reporter with the Social Security Administration and continued to work part-time after her retirement. She was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church in Aiken, and was formerly active with the CSRA Shag Club.
Brenda’s great joys in life were her grandchildren and friends. She loved to travel with friends and was recently able to fulfill a life-long dream of taking a trip to Hawaii with her children. Her love of life was apparent in everything she did, as was her ability to make a friend out of a stranger. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed by many.
Survivors include her two children, Jennifer Worsham Goff (Stefan), Hurricane, WV, Christopher Ray Worsham (Ahronn), Roswell, GA; four grandchildren, Ryan Goff, Madison Goff, Jack Worsham, Lilly Worsham; a sister, Sue Finister (Terry), Aiken. In addition to her husband and parents, Brenda was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Buckalew (Dick).
Monday, March 02, 2015, funeral service was held at 4 PM at Shellhouse- Rivers Funeral Home. Interment service will be Tuesday, March 3rd, at 2 PM in New Hope South Baptist Church Cemetery, in Holland Community, Lyerly, GA.
