Mrs. Barbara Frances Sharp, age 76, of Summerville, GA died Friday, December 24, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Sharp was born April 11, 1934 in Chattanooga, TN, the daughter of the late Walter N. and Anna Brown Farmer . She was a retired bookkeeper and member of Pennville Baptist Church. Mrs. Sharp was preceded in death by her husband, Orville E. Sharp, brother, Douglas Farmer, sister, Vida Black. Survivors include her children, Carl E. Sharp and Laura Wells; sister, Betty Jo Meek; brother, John Farmer; grandchildren, Dalton Wells and Triston Madsen. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p. m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J. L. Sharp and Rev. Jimmy Tanner officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until the service hour on Wednesday.

Mrs. Kelli Suzanne Martin, age 33, of Williamston, SC, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Martin was born in Rome, Georgia on March 17, 1977, daughter of Jimmy Ray Hughes and Teresa Ann Tucker Hix. She was a member of the New Spring Church in Anderson, SC and was an environmentally conscious, animal friendly, community minded person. Mrs. Martin was employed as a dispatcher with Utiliquest, and was preceded was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Jesse O. Tucker and Jimmy Paul Hughes.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her children, Hannah Martin, age 9 and Jacob Martin, age 4, Williamston, SC; Father, Jimmy Ray Hughes; Mother and Step-father, Teresa and Phil Hix, Williamston, SC; Brother, Terry Hughes, Charleston, SC; Sister, Heather Robinson, Athens, GA; grandmother, Mary Lawson, Summerville; Fiance, Nathan Johnson, Williamston, SC; Father of her children, Eric Martin, Huntsville, AL; and a number of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Nieces.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Martin will be held Sunday, December 26, 2010 at 3:30 P.M. in the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Dr. Floyd Roebuck and Mr. Stephen Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brent Tucker, Blake Tucker, Hayden Tucker, Brian Stephens, Matt Durham, and Wesley Chisolm. Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott Tucker, Mike Hughes, Ricky Hughes, Fredia Brady, Robby Robinson, Shannon Tucker Tony Tucker, and Mildred Hughes.

Mr. Robert Eugene Eaton, age 76, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Friday, December 24, 2010 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Eaton was born in Walker County, Georgia on February 21, 1934, son of the late William Armstrong Eaton and Janie Kathrine Gentry Eaton. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the New Visions Praise and Worship, was a successful and dedicated member of the AA program. Prior to retirement, Mr. Eaton was employed as a Security Officer at Mt. Vernon Mills, and was preceded in death by his wife, Delcy Eveline Caldwell; sister, Millie Louvina Hyde; brothers, Troy Armstrong Eaton and James Herbert Eaton.

Mr. Eaton is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Brown, Luke and Shirley Brown, and Curtis and JoAnn Brown all of Summerville; daughters and Son-in-law, Debbie and Stanley Grey of Trion and Sherry Glass of Ames, Iowa; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 27, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at the New Visions Praise and Worship with Rev. Jackie Jones and Rev. Barry Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Trion Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joseph A. Brown, Junior Norrod, Keith Grey, Jason Grey, Jeff Jones and Kevin Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Alicia L. Norrod, Redmond ICU Staff, Home Health Staff and Viola S. Norrod.

MRS. WILLA MAE HAYES, age 93, of Hall’s Valley Road-Trion, Georgia passed away Friday, December 24, 2010, in the local nursing home. A native of Blue Ridge, Georgia She was born to the late Huland Burg and Lula Conley Davenport on February 2, 1917. Mrs. Hayes was a member of Pleasant Grove Church of Christ, retired from the Spinning Department of Riegel Textile Corporation, and was preceded in death by her husband the late Ernest "Bud" Eugene Hayes, a sister Ruth Cochran, and brothers-Wayne Davenport, J.B. Davenport, and Ernest Davenport.

Surviving are son & daughter-in-law-Bobby & Sandra Hayes of Trion; grandson & spouse-Bradley & Judy Hayes of Trion; great grandsons-Luke Hayes and Jake Hayes; sisters-Lola Bailey of Acworth, Betty Aaron of Covington, Berta Lee Shields of Blue Ridge; brothers-Vester "Veck" Davenport, William "Joe" Davenport, & Floyd Davenport all of Trion and Charles Davenport of Chattanooga; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

MR. DOUGLAS LANDON KINCADE, Jr. age 41, of Mt. View Road-Trion, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2010, evening in a Chattanooga Tennessee hospital. Born in Miami, Florida on May 9, 1969. He was retired from Defender Corporation In the maintenance department.

MRS. LUCILLE E. MANN, age 89, of Roberts Street-Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday (December 22, 2010) night in the local nursing home. She was born in Packlett, S.C. on December 16, 1921, a daughter of the late Fred Reynolds. Mrs. Mann was a member of Teloga Baptist Church, was retired from the weave shop of Mt. Vernon Mills, and was preceded in death by her husband the late Arthur Mann.

Funeral service was held Sunday (December 26th) at 1:30 P.M. Graveside and interment will be from Greenhills Memory Garden at 2 PM Monday with Darwin Blansit officiating.

MRS. ADA MARGARET ELROD, age 81, of Farrar Drive-Summerville, Georgia passed away Monday, December 20, 2010, afternoon in a Rome hospital following an extended illness. Born on September 14, 1929 She was a daughter of the late James Alexander and Anna Hammer Duff. Mrs. Elrod was retired from the Georgia Rug Mill, a member of First Presbyterian Church, PCA, and was preceded in death by her husband the late Ralph W. Elrod on November 21, 1981 and a brother the late Jimmy W. Duff, Jr. on September 14, 2010.

Surviving are son-William D. & Martha Elrod of Fayetteville; sister-Jean & Wales Goebel of Birmingham, Alabama; grandchildren-Kimber Elrod of Jasper, Brandon Elrod of Summerville & fiance’ Erin White of Rome.

Mrs. Amy Jo Thomas, age 88, of Summerville, GA died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Thomas was born May 10, 1922 in Summerville, GA, the daughter of the late John Broadus and Zephyer Perry Cordle. She was a homemaker and member of the South Summerville Baptist Church. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Clayton Thomas, Sr; grandson, Carlos Thomas; and son-in-law, Jerrell Hogue.

Survivors include her children, Nancy Hogue, Jody Thomas, and Gary Thomas; sister, Madelyn Cordle Collette; 9 Grandchildren; and 19 Great Grandchildren.

Graveside and interment services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Greenhills Memory Gardens with Gary Thomas officiating. Pallbearers will be Co-Ray Helms, Chris Thomas, John Collette, Clay Thomas, Jake Shipp, and Sam Babb.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

MRS. NELL M. MORRISON, age 91, of Lyerly, Georgia passed away Monday (December 20, 2010) night at the residence of a daughter in Chatsworth. A native of DeKalb County, Alabama She was born to the late John and Mary Holmes Keef on February 4,1919. Mrs. Morrison was a member of West Berryton Faith Temple and a Homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband the late Hollis Morrison in 1983, sisters-the late Jo Kirby and Juanita Porter, brothers-the late Jess Keef, Tom Keef, and John B. Keef.

Surviving are daughters-Virginia Mobbs of Goose Creek, S.C. and Betty Bagley of Chatsworth; Five Grandchildren, Eleven Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Granddaughter, several Nieces, and Nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday (December 23rd) at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. John Mann and Rev. James Stephens officiating, interment in Lyerly Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Thursday from 1PM until the service hour.
