Members of the Chattooga County FFA program are being recognized for an impressive showing at the Georgia FFA Poultry Judging Competition, earning a 4th place finish in the state.
The Senior Poultry Team competed against some of the top teams from across Georgia, demonstrating their knowledge of poultry evaluation, grading, and industry standards. The competition tests students in areas related to poultry production and judging skills while helping build critical thinking and agricultural knowledge.
Representing Chattooga County were team members Savanna Crowe, Evelyn Mae Lutz, Eme McCary, and Risby Yarbrough. Their top-four finish reflects the hard work, preparation, and dedication of these students and the strength of the local FFA program.
The Georgia FFA Poultry Judging Competition is one of the organization’s important agricultural career development events, giving students hands-on experience and practical knowledge that can help prepare them for future opportunities in agriculture and related fields.
Local supporters are congratulating the team on its strong finish and for representing Chattooga County so well on the state level.
