A teacher at Rome Middle School was arrested Monday on a felony charge of possession of a Schedule I controlled substance after police say she was found with a THC vape.
A Summerville man is facing multiple charges following a traffic stop on Martha Berry Highway over the weekend.
According to Floyd County Jail records, 60-year-old Stevie Wayne Lingerfelt was accused of allowing another person to drive without a valid license. Authorities also reported finding loose tramadol pills and open containers of alcohol inside the vehicle.
Lingerfelt is charged with possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, open container, and permitting an unlicensed person to drive.
An Armuchee man is facing a possession of methamphetamine charge following an arrest over the weekend.
According to Floyd County Jail records, 30-year-old Sebastian Duane Barker was found with meth while he was being arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Jail records also indicate Barker is being held for the Cherokee County, Alabama Sheriff’s Office in connection with that agency.
