A Summerville man has been arrested following an incident in Dalton where police say he was observed performing lewd acts inside his vehicle.
A Chattooga County woman was arrested following a trespassing incident at the Menlo Handy Mart on Highway 48.
According to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the convenience store on April 3 after reports of a female subject on the property who had previously been warned not to return.
The suspect was identified as Kimberly Joyce Basham. Authorities say Basham had been trespassed from the business in the past but returned again, prompting the call to law enforcement.
Deputies made contact with Basham at the scene and took her into custody without incident. She was transported to the Chattooga County Jail and charged with criminal trespass.
A traffic stop in Summerville led to the arrest of a Summerville woman on drug-related charges.
According to reports, Summerville Police officers made contact with Barbara Ann Brock, 72, during a stop along Highway 114. Officers observed behavior consistent with drug use and conducted further investigation.
Authorities reported finding a substance believed to be methamphetamine, along with drug-related objects. Brock admitted to recent meth use and was taken into custody without incident.
She was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession and use of drug-related objects. Her vehicle was released to a licensed driver, and the case remains active.
Summerville Police are investigating a reported theft involving lost money at a Dollar Tree store in Summerville, with the incident reported on April 1, 2026.
According to the complainant, she discovered $100 missing after visiting the store and later contacted law enforcement.
Surveillance footage reviewed by store management reportedly showed a white male suspect picking up the cash after it was dropped and leaving the store. The suspect was described as wearing a blue shirt and gray shorts, and driving away in a gold Chevrolet C1500 pickup truck.
The complainant advised officers she wished to pursue charges. Authorities continue working to identify the suspect using video evidence.
A vehicle theft reported in Summerville is under investigation after a resident discovered her car missing from her property on Raymond Street.

An inmate at the Floyd County Jail is facing an additional charge after authorities say he tried to persuade the victim in a reported case to change her statement to police.
According to jail records, 18-year-old Keano Sanjay Nestor allegedly used the jail phone system to contact the victim and attempted to convince her to alter her account of what happened. As a result, he is now charged with influencing a witness.
Nestor has been in custody since December 1 in connection with earlier allegations. Police previously said he was maintaining a disorderly house where people under the age of 21 were reportedly consuming alcohol, using tobacco products, and engaging in fights.
Authorities also alleged that Nestor pointed a firearm at an 18-year-old female during that earlier incident. The new witness-influencing charge adds to the case as he remains jailed.
