A fifty-one-year-old Menlo man was arrested for DUI shortly after midnight this past Saturday after he passed a sheriff’s deputy while flashing his headlights.

The Chattooga County Agricultural Fair opens tomorrow at 5 PM. Students in the Chattooga County School system will have a half-day of school on Thursday and Friday during the fair. Thursday night is Free Student Night at the fair. All students will not have to pay the $5 gate admission on Thursday. The free gate admission is sponsored by the City of Summerville. All entertainment and events are covered by the $5 gate admission, but rides are extra. Ride armbands are $25 this year. The fair hours on Thursday are from 5 PM until 10 PM.
In July of this year, two Georgia hospitals were cited for failing to comply with a new law that requires medical facilities to post accurate pricing for common procedures on their website. A new study shows that only about 16% of hospitals are abiding by the new law that went in place eighteen months ago.
