The group is active in Chattooga County and will be distributing food this week in Summerville.
Three out of five deaths from house fires in the United States are in homes that do not have properly installed, working smoke detectors. Chattooga County’s fire departments urge anyone that does not have a smoke detector, and especially if you cannot afford one, to contact your local fire department for free smoke detector installation.
