Mrs. Carol Athel Lemming, age 70, of Trion, GA, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020, at her residence.
A Trion man was sentenced in Chattooga County Superior Court to thirteen years in prison after he admitted to molesting children. He is the same man who was convicted last year for groping an employee at CVS in Summerville.

The University of Georgia is set to start phase one of three to reopen campuses next month. In an email to faculty and staff, University president Jere Morehead said the university will start reopening June 15. The university will open in three phases.
