Residents across Chattooga County and Northwest Georgia will see a warming trend today through Wednesday, but dry air and low humidity are creating an increased risk for wildfires.
Warmth that feels more like April will continue across Chattooga County and the rest of Northwest Georgia through Friday, with afternoon temperatures running above average and flirting with daily records in parts of the region. Friday’s highs are expected to reach the mid to upper 70s, and if cloud cover breaks for long stretches during the afternoon, a few locations could end up tying or breaking records.
