LMES Leadership Team Sets Goals for Year Ahead

The leadership team at Leroy Massey Elementary School recently gathered at Howard Finster’s Paradise Garden for a planning meeting focused on the year ahead.

During the meeting, school leaders worked on setting a vision for the upcoming school year while also taking a close look at student achievement data. The goal was to establish meaningful instructional priorities designed to support student success and continued improvement.

School officials said the conversations centered on building on existing strengths, identifying areas for growth, and creating the best possible learning experiences for students.

Leroy Massey Elementary also thanked Shawn Keim and Mike Afdahl from NWRESA, along with Chattooga County Schools Chief Academic Officer Robert Beach, for their support and guidance throughout the process.

The school said the partnership helps LMES continue moving forward with purpose and excellence.

Leroy Massey Elementary School is celebrating one of its own after Mrs. Carrie Rowe was named Chattooga County School District Teacher of the Year.

School officials shared the announcement on social media, congratulating Rowe and thanking her for her dedication to students and the school community. Leroy Massey Elementary said they are grateful for her continued commitment to supporting students, fellow educators, and the community.

District Teacher of the Year honors are awarded to educators who demonstrate excellence in the classroom, leadership within their schools, and a strong commitment to student success.

Santa Coming to Leroy Massey Elementary School on November 30th

Santa will be making a special visit to Leroy Massey Elementary School on Sunday, November 30th. The event runs from 3 until 6 p.m., and families are asked to park in the back parking lot. Admission is five dollars per child, or ten dollars total for families with multiple children. Kids can enjoy holiday hot chocolate, festive cookies, and a make-and-take ornament craft. Parents should bring a phone or camera to take pictures with Santa. That’s Santa at LMES on Sunday, November 30th from 3 to 6 p.m.
