An Armuchee man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges following an alleged assault early Friday morning at a residence on Burr Drive, according to jail reports.
Authorities say the incident occurred when a woman was shoved onto a couch and allegedly choked. Reports indicate the suspect pinned the woman’s arms at her sides during the assault.
Justin Anthony Stanley, 37, was arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor battery. He was later booked into the Floyd County Jail.
No additional details were released, and the case remains under investigation.
