Advocate Health has announced it will award $200,000 in scholarships to students pursuing education in health care and STEM-related fields, helping support the next generation of professionals in those industries.
The Chattooga County Library will host a Homeschool Science Fair on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The event, presented by the Sara Hightower Regional Library System, will take place at the library located at 360 Farrar Drive in Summerville. The science fair is part of the library’s Homeschool Adventure class, and the public is invited to attend and view student experiments.

Two educators from the Chattooga County School District are being recognized statewide for excellence in science instruction. Erin Smith of Leroy Massey Elementary and Melissa Rowe of Chattooga High School have been named Georgia Science Teachers Association (GSTA) Science Teachers of the Year, earning top honors at the elementary and high school levels.
