One of the biggest events of the spring gets underway today in Rome as the Wings Over North Georgia Air Show returns to Russell Regional Airport for a two-day run.
The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds have landed at Richard B. Russell Regional Airport in Rome, kicking off preparations for this weekend’s Wings Over North Georgia Air Show.
While the skies will be filled with high-flying action, there will be just as much to see on the ground when the Wings Over North Georgia (WONG) Air Show returns April 3-4 at the Richard B. Russell Regional Airport.
One of Georgia’s biggest spring events is just weeks away as the Wings Over North Georgia Air Show returns to Rome’s Russell Regional Airport on April 3-4, 2026, with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds set to headline the show.
The countdown is on for one of Northwest Georgia’s biggest spring events, as the 2026 Wings Over North Georgia Air Show is now just two months away. The show is scheduled for Friday, April 3, and Saturday, April 4, at Rome’s Richard B. Russell Regional Airport, and will feature the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds as the headlining act.
