Pink Houses Tribute Band Headlines Summerville Friday Night Concert Series April 24

The City of Summerville is inviting the community out for another night of live music as the Friday Night Concert Series continues on April 24.

The featured performance will be Pink Houses, a John Mellencamp tribute band, taking the stage from 7:30 to 9:30 PM in the East Washington Street Entertainment District. An opening local act will begin at 7 PM.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of great music in downtown Summerville. The event is sponsored by the City of Summerville Main Street.

Easter Bunny Visits Sloppy Floyd State Park Today

Families in Chattooga County have a chance to celebrate the season today as the Easter Bunny makes a special appearance at Sloppy Floyd State Park.

The event, hosted by the Friends of Sloppy Floyd State Park, will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the fire ring located in front of the park office.

Children will have the opportunity to take photos with the Easter Bunny at no cost, and each child will receive a treat bag during the event.

A $10 parking pass or an annual park pass is required per vehicle to enter the park. However, a limited number of parking passes are available for checkout at no cost through the Chattooga and Trion Libraries.

Organizers say the event is a great way for families to enjoy the outdoors and celebrate the Easter season together.

Lyerly Civic Club To Host Community Yard Sale April 11

The Lyerly Civic Club is inviting the community out for a day of bargains, food, and fellowship at its upcoming Community Yard Sale.

The event will take place on Saturday, April 11, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Angus McLeod Park in Lyerly.

Shoppers can browse a variety of items while also enjoying homemade biscuits during the event.

Organizers say all proceeds will benefit the Lyerly Civic Club Scholarship Fund and Flower Fund, supporting local students and community beautification efforts.

Friends of Sloppy Floyd will host “Photos With the Easter Bunny” on Saturday, April 4, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the park office. Visitors are invited to bring their cameras and stop by for pictures with the Easter Bunny during the two-hour event.
