MR. SAMUEL HAROLD BARCLAY ALLMOND, age 86, of Tate Road, Trion, Georgia, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021, in a Rome hospital. Mr. Allmond was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on July 15, 1935 to the late James William and Katie May Harris Allmond. He was a member of Beersheba Presbyterian Church, served in the U.S. Army National Guard, and was retired animal control officer for Catoosa County Government. In addition to Parents, He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Minnie Locklear Allmond and a son, the late Dewey Noland Allmond.
A Summerville church has cancelled Homecoming services for tomorrow, August 8th. Highland Avenue Baptist Church had planned to hold their annual Homecoming service on Sunday, but due to sickness the church has decided to cancel the services.
