Earlier this week, the City of Summerville announced the annual Christmas Parade. Once again this year, the parade will be held the first Monday in December. The theme for this year’s parade is “The Magic of Christmas”. Businesses, civic groups and churches wishing to enter a float in this year’s parade should register with the Summerville Recreation Department. The cost is $25 and registration can be done online at www.summervillerec.org
The Trion Boys Basketball team is hosting a Halloween Maze event on October 24th, 26th, and 31st at the Triangle / Sam R. McCain Stadium parking lot. The maze will be open from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, offering a fun and spooky experience for all ages with scare levels suitable for everyone. Entrance is $5, with food and snacks available for purchase. The Trion High School Band is excited to announce their annual Fill Your Freezer Fundraiser, offering an opportunity for local residents to support the band while also potentially stocking their freezers with high-quality beef. For just $20 a ticket, participants will receive two chances to win half of a Black Angus cow. The Pregnancy Resource Center of Chattooga County is holding their annual Open House for the community on Thursday afternoon 4:00-6:00. The Center is located at 11564 Highway 27 (behind Little Caesar’s Pizza, next to the Boys & Girls Club). The Resource Center offers pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting classes to pregnant women & young moms.
