The Sexual Assault Center of Northwest Georgia is currently seeking compassionate and community-minded individuals interested in serving on its Board of Directors.
April marks National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time focused on raising awareness, supporting families, and encouraging communities to take action to protect children. In recognition of the effort, the Chattooga County Department of Family and Children’s Services hosted a pinwheel planting ceremony at Dowdy Park on March 31.
A meeting was held Monday evening in Rome to discuss PFAS contamination in water systems across Northwest Georgia. The Ben Finley Law Firm hosted the public forum at The Forum in Rome, with consumer advocate Erin Brockovich in attendance.
Georgia officials are continuing to warn residents about the growing threat posed by the invasive yellow-legged hornet, a species that can create serious problems for honeybees, agriculture, and the environment.
