AAA is warning Georgia drivers not to let higher gas prices lead to risky decisions behind the wheel this Memorial Day weekend.
As Georgia travelers prepare for the Memorial Day holiday weekend, the Georgia Department of Public Safety is urging drivers to make safety a top priority.
Residents across Chattooga County and Northwest Georgia are facing a double dose of winter weather as a Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 p.m. Sunday, followed by a Cold Weather Advisory from 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday.
With snow, ice, and sleet creating hazardous travel conditions, AAA – The Auto Club Group is urging drivers to take proactive steps to stay safe on winter roads. AAA notes winter weather can be deadly, citing U.S. Department of Transportation figures showing 1,300 people are killed and 116,000 injured each year in crashes on snowy or icy pavement.
