Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms will remain in the forecast for Chattooga County and northwest Georgia through the weekend, with the greatest chances for widespread rainfall arriving Thursday through Saturday.
Residents across Chattooga County and northwest Georgia should prepare for a wet start to the week as a slow-moving weather system brings numerous showers and thunderstorms through Tuesday before conditions gradually return to a more typical summertime pattern later in the week.
Chattooga County and much of Northwest Georgia are seeing a shift toward unsettled weather as a strong storm system moves through the Southeast, bringing widespread rainfall and the chance for isolated thunderstorms from Sunday through early Monday morning.
Light rain and low clouds will remain widespread across Chattooga County and Northwest Georgia through much of today, keeping temperatures on the mild side for early February.
