Chattooga 4-H To Host Fall Dance For Fifth And Sixth Graders Friday

Chattooga County 4-H is inviting local fifth and sixth grade students to enjoy an evening of fun, games and dancing during a special Fall Dance scheduled for Friday, October 23.

The event will take place from 6 to 8 PM at the Chattooga County Agricultural Center, located at 40 Middle School Road in Summerville.

Admission is $10 per student and includes entry to the dance, pizza and lemonade. Concessions will also be available for purchase throughout the evening.

In addition to music and dancing, organizers are planning games and other activities for students attending the event. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes and enjoy a festive fall atmosphere.

All proceeds from the Fall Dance will support Chattooga County 4-H programming, helping provide educational and leadership opportunities for local students throughout the year.

Organizers encourage families to make plans to attend and support the local 4-H program while giving students an opportunity to socialize, have fun and dance the night away.

Tiny Tribe Cheer Camp Set for June at Chattooga High School

Local families will have a chance to kick off summer with energy and excitement as the Tiny Tribe Cheer Camp returns to Chattooga High School June 15–16.

The two-day camp will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day and is open to children ages 3 to 13. Participants will learn cheer fundamentals, build confidence, and enjoy a fun, high-energy environment alongside Chattooga cheerleaders and coaches.

Organizers say the camp is designed for all experience levels, with a focus on introducing young athletes to the basics of cheerleading in a supportive setting.

The cost to attend is $50, which includes instruction, activities, and camp participation.

The camp will be held at Chattooga High School, located at 989 Highway 114 in Summerville. Participants must be potty trained to attend, and registration is now open.

The Tiny Tribe Cheer Camp has become a popular annual tradition, drawing young cheerleaders from across the area eager to learn new skills and have fun.

Miss Trion Pageant Registration Deadline March 6; Pageant Set for March 14

The Pride of Trion Marching Band is reminding the community that there’s only one week left to register for the Miss Trion Pageant or sign on as an event sponsor.

Organizers say the registration and sponsorship deadline is Friday, March 6, and the pageant will be held Saturday, March 14.

Registration is available online through the Trion High School Band Boosters website. Paper registration forms are also available in the school office and can be turned in at the office with payment.

In addition to contestants, organizers say they are still seeking sponsors to help make the event a success, with sponsorship options available online.
