Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office Planning Hot Dog Lunch And Bake Sale Fundraiser

 

The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office will hold a hot dog lunch and bake sale later this month to raise money for several community programs.

The fundraiser is scheduled for Friday, September 25, from 10 AM until 2 PM at the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, 533 Underwood Drive in Trion.

For $7, participants will receive a lunch that includes a hot dog, chips, drink and dessert. Additional baked goods will also be available for purchase.

Money raised during the event will help purchase items for the Christmas Baskets distributed by the Sheriff’s Office, provide prizes for citizens participating in the department’s Senior Well Check Program, and support the Health & Heart Hydration Fund, which purchases hydration and healthy snacks for patrol officers.

Residents are invited to stop by the Sheriff’s Office during the four-hour fundraiser to have lunch, purchase baked goods and support the programs.

“Be Their Voice” Golf Tournament To Raise Money For Children’s Advocacy Center

Golfers from across Northwest Georgia will have an opportunity this fall to spend a day on the course while helping children who have been victims of abuse.

The Children’s Advocacy Center of the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit is preparing for its 6th Annual “Be Their Voice” Golf Tournament, scheduled for Thursday, October 1st, at the LaFayette Golf Course.

Activities are scheduled from 7:15 AM until 6 PM, and organizers are currently looking for golf teams, hole sponsors and donations of door prizes to help make this year’s fundraiser a success.

Chattooga Masonic Lodge #704 Hosting Barbecue Fundraiser Saturday

Chattooga Masonic Lodge #704 will hold a barbecue fundraiser this Saturday, August 8, beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing until all plates are sold.

The fundraiser will be held at the lodge, located at 2 Millican Street, one block off Highway 27 behind Circle K. Both dine-in and carryout service will be available.

Organizers say delivery may also be available for local businesses and individuals who are unable to leave work.

Chattooga County Senior Center Hosting May Memorial Day Raffle Fundraiser

The Chattooga County Senior Center is hosting a May Memorial Day raffle ticket fundraiser to support local seniors.

Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and may be purchased at Bryant & Sons or at the Chattooga County Senior Center Monday through Friday from 8 AM until 2 PM.

Participants will have a chance to win either three John Wayne books and two framed postage stamps, or a Nostalgia KPM200 2.5-ounce kettle popcorn maker, which will include one starter pack of popcorn.

The winner will be announced Friday, May 29, through Facebook Live and by phone.
