Santa Claus is getting ready for a busy Christmas season in Chattooga County, and State Court Judge Jon Dennis is helping spread the word on where families can find him throughout December. Dennis released Santa’s official appearance schedule, noting that Santa is eager to see children across Summerville and the rest of the county as the holiday season begins.
The City of Summerville has announced that due to expected rainfall on Monday, December 1st, the Summerville Christmas Parade has been rescheduled.
New Parade Date: Monday, December 8th
Start Time: 7:00 p.m.
City officials say the decision was made to ensure a safer and more enjoyable parade experience for participants and spectators. The parade will follow the same planned route and lineup schedule originally announced.

With the holiday season quickly approaching, Chattooga County residents are encouraged to secure their tickets now for the annual “Breakfast with Santa” fundraiser — an event that is less than two weeks away and expected to sell out.
The holiday magic is returning to downtown Calhoun as the Friends of Calhoun’s GEM Theatre announce a full lineup of free Christmas movies throughout December. The theatre, one of the region’s most beloved historic landmarks, will welcome families from Northwest Georgia to enjoy classic holiday favorites at no cost.
