A backdoor cold front moving south into the region will bring noticeably cooler temperatures and lower humidity, creating conditions that will feel more like spring than the first week of meteorological summer. Daily rain and thunderstorm chances will remain in the forecast through Tuesday, with a noticeable shift toward drier and cooler conditions expected by the middle and end of the week.

Forecasters say a Marginal Risk for severe weather remains in place through tonight for parts of north Georgia, including areas that could be impacted by a weakening line of storms moving in from the north. The main concern will be a low-end risk for strong to damaging wind gusts, especially if the storm complex is able to hold together as it moves southward.
