Bargain hunters in Northwest Georgia will have a chance to shop local this weekend as the Center Post Community Center hosts an indoor community yard sale on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
The sale runs from 8 a.m. until noon and will be held rain or shine since it’s indoors.
The Center Post Community Center is located at 8125 Highway 337 in LaFayette, Georgia, 30728.
LaFayette Farmers Market-GA is inviting local makers, growers, and producers to apply to become vendors for the 2026 market season. Market organizers say the LaFayette Farmers Market is a producer-only, community-centered market focused on supporting local agriculture, artisans, and small businesses—welcoming vendors who grow it, raise it, bake it, or make it.
All vendors, including those who participated in past seasons, are required to re-apply for 2026. The market will run Saturdays from April 25 through August 29, operating 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., rain or shine, in Downtown LaFayette, Georgia.

The Summerville Main Street Spring Market is returning in 2026, offering a full day of shopping, food, and entertainment to welcome the spring season. The market will take place Saturday, April 18, from 10 AM until 3 PM at Dowdy Park.
Shoppers can browse a wide variety of vendors featuring arts and crafts, jewelry, baked goods, body and hair care products, wooden items, food, live plants, specialty pet items, and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy special musical entertainment throughout the day.

Organizers remind vendors that all payments are made only to the City of Summerville Main Street. Vendors will never be asked to pay anyone else, and payments through Venmo, Cash App, or other similar services are not accepted.
February is more than just a bridge between winter and spring—it’s a season for connection, and Summerville Main Street is inviting the community to help “paint the town red” with the return of the “Live, Love, Local” Heart Project. Throughout the month of February, Downtown Summerville will be lined with personalized, heart-shaped messages designed to celebrate the people, places, and stories that make the community special.
Organizers say the project is a chance for everyone to share a message in a fun and visible way, whether it’s a shout-out to a favorite small business, a tribute to a loved one, a school celebration, or a note of encouragement for the community. Hearts can be purchased as a single-sided display for $30 or double-sided for $50, and orders can be placed by visiting the Summerville Main Street office at 179 Union Street.

Summerville Main Street is bringing back a favorite downtown tradition with the return of the Downtown Heart Project, inviting residents, families, and businesses to help decorate the city for February.
The Free 6th Annual Chattooga County Plant Swap is set for Saturday, May 2nd, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Teloga Springs Farm, 9505 Hwy 337 in Summerville, bringing local gardeners together for an afternoon of swapping plants and supporting community causes. Organizers say all donations benefit the Animal Advocates of Chattooga County and the Teloga Fire Department, and note it will be a cash-only event.
Along with the plant swap, the event will feature raffle tickets, vendors, food trucks, and a bake sale, giving families plenty to do while shopping and connecting with fellow growers across Chattooga County and Northwest Georgia.
Organizers are also seeking vendors and crafters to participate. Vendor setup is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and vendor spots are $30. Vendors should plan to bring their own pop-up tent and tables, as they will not be provided, and organizers say no power or Wi-Fi will be available.

The book chronicles Chattooga County’s early days and follows the story of the community through much of the 1900s, making it a popular pick for longtime residents, genealogy researchers, and anyone interested in Northwest Georgia’s past.
The Historical Society says the remaining copies will be sold at Sweet Beaux for $70, while supplies last.
