Water Main Break Forces Lyerly School Cancellation

As of October 15, 2025 at 7:30 am, five absentee by mail ballots have been issued for the November 4, 2025 Special Election. An additional 26 ballots have been cast during Advance Voting. No provisional ballots have been issued and no absentee ballots have been accepted so far.
Advance voting continues today in the Chattooga County Registrars Office located at 10017 Commerce Street in Summerville. Weekday hours are 8:30 am – 5 pm and Saturday hours are 9 am – 5 pm. The last day of Advance Voting is Friday, October 31, 2025.
Absentee by Mail applications are being accepted until October 24 for this election.
The City of Summerville has had 5 advance voters and has issued 1 absentee by mail ballot. The City of Menlo also had 5 advance voters on the first day.
