GNTC Fall Admission Deadline Approaching August 4

Students planning to attend Georgia Northwestern Technical College this fall are encouraged to complete their applications soon. The fall admissions deadline is Tuesday, August 4.

GNTC offers more than 200 degree, diploma and certificate programs across six campus locations in Northwest Georgia. Programs include aviation and industrial technologies, business, cybersecurity, health sciences, nursing, and public service careers.

The college also offers hands-on training, financial aid opportunities, and says many programs provide strong job placement opportunities for graduates.

Prospective students can apply online by visiting gntc.edu/admissions/apply before the August 4 deadline.

Georgia Northwestern Technical College will waive application fees next week for students planning to enroll for the 2026 fall semester.

GNTC will host a Free Application Week from Monday, June 29, through Sunday, July 5. During that time, the college will waive the regular $25 application fee for all incoming students. Applicants will not need a special code to receive the fee waiver.

The admissions deadline for the fall semester is August 4, and fall classes are scheduled to begin August 17.

Students who need assistance can contact GNTC’s call center Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM until 4:15 PM at 866-983-4682. More information is also available on GNTC’s website by selecting “Apply Now.”

Georgia Northwestern Technical College will host Open House events at all six of its campuses next week, giving prospective students and families a chance to learn more about programs, tour facilities, and meet faculty and staff.

The events will be held from 10 AM until noon.

Open Houses are scheduled for Tuesday, June 2nd at the Polk County Campus in Rockmart and the Walker County Campus in Rock Spring. On Wednesday, June 3rd, events will be held at the Gordon County Campus in Calhoun and the Whitfield Murray Campus in Dalton. On Thursday, June 4th, Open Houses will take place at the Catoosa County Campus in Ringgold and the Floyd County Campus in Rome.

Legare Price, associate vice president of Student Success at GNTC, said the events are a great opportunity for potential students and families to explore one of the college’s six campuses and see what GNTC has to offer.

Each two-hour event will include registration, a panel discussion, campus tours with program highlights, a presentation on GNTC’s benefits, and a step-by-step overview of the enrollment process.

Attendees will receive special giveaways and a code to waive the $25 application fee.

Georgia Northwestern Technical College is now accepting applications for a part-time Commercial Truck Driving Road/Range Instructor at its Walker County Campus.

The position focuses on training students in commercial truck driving, helping prepare them for careers in the transportation industry. GNTC is encouraging qualified applicants with experience in commercial driving to apply.

College officials say the role includes both road and range instruction, providing hands-on training to students enrolled in the program.

As required by federal regulations, applicants must complete a physical exam and drug screening as part of the background check process. Those hired will also be subject to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment.
