Woman Arrested After Alleged Public Disturbance In Downtown Summerville

The Summerville Police Department arrested a Rome woman Saturday after officers responded to a disturbance in downtown Summerville. According to citations filed by the department, Tikeria Shaniquia Clowers, 27, of Rome, was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct following the incident.

According to the citations, officers observed Clowers to be visibly intoxicated in a public roadway, where police say she was causing a public disturbance. Officers also reported that she was told multiple times to lower her voice and stop yelling profanities. The citations state that after several warnings, she allegedly continued to be loud and boisterous, at which point she was placed under arrest.

The arrest occurred on June 28 in the area of 516 Highland Avenue in Summerville. Clowers is scheduled to appear in Summerville Municipal Court on September 15, 2026, to answer the charges.

The Summerville Police Department has charged an Alabama woman with driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle following a traffic stop in Summerville.

According to citations filed by the department, Nicole Renee Thacker, 23, of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, was cited after officers stopped her vehicle on June 28 on Pine Street near Highway 114. Officers allege Thacker was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol to the extent that it was less safe for her to drive. The citation also states that an alcoholic beverage in an open container was found in the center console cup holder while she was operating the vehicle. Court documents further indicate that Thacker was advised of Georgia’s implied consent law and refused the requested state chemical test.

Thacker is scheduled to appear in Summerville Municipal Court on September 15, 2026, to answer the charges.

A Lafayette man was cited for public intoxication following an incident on Hawkins Drive in Summerville on June 19, according to a report from the Summerville Police Department.

The citation identifies the defendant as William Craig Ramsey, 53, of Lafayette. Officers responded to an incident at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Hawkins Drive. According to the officer’s narrative, Ramsey was involved in a verbal domestic dispute that resulted in a 911 call.

Upon making contact with Ramsey, the responding officer reported smelling a strong odor of alcoholic beverages and marijuana. The report states that Ramsey admitted to consuming alcohol and smoking marijuana.

Police said Ramsey was walking on a city street and that his level of intoxication placed both himself and the public in jeopardy. He was subsequently cited for Public Intoxication under a Summerville city ordinance.

The Summerville Police Department is investigating the theft of wheels and tires from a vehicle at a local auto dealership.

A woman was arrested on a criminal trespass charge after allegedly returning to a property from which she had previously been banned, according to the Summerville Police Department.

Police identified the suspect as Sandy Waynette Wilson, 48, of Summerville.

According to the report, officers learned Wilson had been criminally trespassed from the property approximately 13 days earlier and was prohibited from being there. After confirming that information through dispatch, officers placed Wilson under arrest and transported her to the Chattooga County Jail.

The charge listed in the report is criminal trespass. The case was handled by the Summerville Police Department.

A Summerville woman contacted police after receiving a series of anonymous messages that authorities believe may be part of a scam.

According to a report filed by the Summerville Police Department, officers responded to a harassment complaint at a residence on Allen Street on June 11.

The complainant, identified as 55-year-old Dina Joanne Harper, told officers she had been receiving anonymous messages on her phone from an unknown individual. When asked to show the messages, Harper reportedly was unable to locate them on her device.

The responding officer advised Harper that the messages contained harassing content and threats. Harper also stated that the messages referenced sending money.

Based on the information provided, the officer advised that the messages could be part of a scam and recommended that she block the number and avoid sending any form of payment.

Harper requested that a report be filed and also asked for additional patrols in the area.

No arrests have been made, and the incident remains under investigation.

Summerville Police are investigating after a counterfeit $20 bill was reportedly passed at the Chattooga County Tag Office.

According to a Summerville Police Department incident report, officers met with tag office staff on June 16 after employees said they received a counterfeit $20 bill.

Police said the person who passed the bill had already left the service window when officers arrived. The individual was later contacted and denied knowing the bill was fake.

The report states the incident has been classified as receipt or possession of counterfeit money.

The case remains under investigation.

Two people accused of carrying out a drive-by shooting during a family dispute last summer have been indicted by a Chattooga County Grand Jury.

Isaac Hines and Vinta Youngblood were formally charged in connection with a June 29, 2025, shooting incident at a residence on Church Street in Summerville. According to investigators, the shooting stemmed from an ongoing domestic conflict involving several family members.

Authorities say multiple shots were fired into the home while Marcus Ramon Dupree was staying there. Summerville Police Detective Phillip Cox testified that seven rounds were fired at the residence. Investigators allege that Youngblood drove Hines to the location and that Hines fired the weapon from the vehicle.

The grand jury returned indictments charging both Hines and Youngblood with drive-by shooting, aggravated assault, second-degree criminal damage to property, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Youngblood was also indicted on an additional charge of making false statements.

The case remains pending in Chattooga County Superior Court.
