Public Hearing On Aging Services Set For Tuesday In Summerville

The Northwest Georgia Area Agency on Aging will hold a public hearing in Summerville tomorrow, Tuesday, November 3, to gather input on services needed by older residents throughout Northwest Georgia.

The hearing will begin at 2 PM at the Chattooga County Library, located at 360 Farrar Drive in Summerville.

The meeting is one of six public hearings scheduled across the agency’s 15-county service area during November. Information gathered during the hearings will help guide future planning for programs and services supporting older adults.

Residents, caregivers, family members and others interested in services for the aging population are encouraged to participate.

The Northwest Georgia Area Agency on Aging operates as a division of the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission and serves Chattooga County along with 14 other Northwest Georgia counties.

Additional hearings are scheduled in Dade, Gilmer, Floyd, Gordon and Walker counties later this month.

The public hearing is open to all interested residents.
